The Falcons roster is arguably loaded with unheralded players. Most of you would agree the Falcons have always struggled to get the proper national attention they’ve perhaps deserved in the past, and as a consequence, players who end up being household names to us evoke an echo of “who?!” outside the Atlanta market and fanbase.
With that said, NFL.com recognized its All-Unheralded Team and Falcons tackle Tyson Clabo is heralded on the list.
Now, Clabo, of course, is well-known among Falcons circles, and his brief flirt with free agency earned him a bit of national attention at the start of training camp, but even with a Pro Bowl under his belt, Clabo goes largely unnoticed nationally.
Speaking of unheralded players, I’ll go ahead and list just a few more off the top of my head: Ovie Mughelli, Todd McClure, Brent Grimes, Curtis Lofton, Jonathan Babineaux, heck, the entire roster. I’d tell you to suggest some of your own, but comments aren’t enabled on the blog yet, so you’ll just have to live with my list for right now.
