In what may be shocking news, the NFL is allowing players on this weekend’s Pro Bowl rosters to tweet from the sidelines.
CNBC’s Darren Rovell tweeted the information today, saying that “NFL will allow players to in-game tweet during Sunday’s Pro Bowl. There will be 1 designated area per sideline..”
Personal devices, however, won’t be allowed, but one computer station will be on each sideline to allow players to sign on and tweet away.
That’s pretty big. And it should be entertaining. With the Falcons being represented by wide receiver Roddy White (@roddywhitetv) and tight end Tony Gonzalez (@TonyGonzalez88) — both very active tweeters — we can likely expect a few in-game tweets come Sunday night.
