Falcons Set to Start Rookie Camp This Week

The Falcons’ Rookie Club will descend on Flowery Branch this weekend for the first of two minicamps the team will hold this offseason. Rookies report to the team’s headquarters Thursday and will practice Friday-Sunday.

All practice sessions for rookie minicamp are closed to the public.

Mark Lampford, RB, Nevada
Rushed for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in 159 carries in 2011 for a team that finished second in rushing offense in the Western Athletic Conference. Highlight video here.

Lee Meisner, FB, Colorado-Pueblo
Played linebacker at CSU-Pueblo and will compete at fullback at minicamp. A former All-American, Academic All-American, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and Regional Defensive Player of the Year. More info here.

Tyler Melton, WR, Georgia Tech
Started 35 games at Georgia Tech and caught 17 passes his senior year in the Yellow Jackets’ option offense. More info here.

Kenny Stafford, WR, Toledo
Caught 21 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown in 2011 as the fourth wide receiver. Bio video here.

Aron White, TE, Georgia
Hauled in nine passes for 101 yards and four touchdowns during the Bulldogs’ 2011 campaign. White goes inside the Hedges here.

Tyler Donahue, T, Bowling Green

Jerome Raymond, DE, Morehead State
Named to the 2011 All-Pioneer Football League first team. Finished fourth in the league in 2011 with 11.5 sacks. Video of Jerome Raymond’s Pro Day.

Harcourt Farquharson, CB, Clark Atlanta
Split time as a cornerback and punt returned. Averaged 14.5 yards per return during 2011 and made 41 tackles. Highlight video here.

Erik Folk, K, Washington
Made 11-of-16 field goals in 2011 and was good on all 56 extra point attempts. Video of Folk beating USC.

Taylor Rowan, K, Western Illinois
Went undrafted in 2009. Set an NCAA record for 129 straight extra points. Played in the UFL, and won an Arena Bowl title in 2010 with Spokane. Video of Rowan drop-kicking an extra point.
