Head coach Mike Smith announced Monday during his press conference that tight end Michael Palmer has a shoulder injury and will definitely be out for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Smith also said Julio Jones suffered a lacerated hand during Sunday’s game against San Diego. Jones caught a 19-yard pass on the first play of the game and was hit hard over the middle. He didn’t return to the game until late in the second quarter.
