Sunday’s game hasn’t exactly started out the way the Falcons envisioned. Going to the pass right away, Matt Ryan tried to find Roddy White over the middle on the game’s first play, but the ball went off White’s hands and skipped into the waiting arms of Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson.
The Cardinals took over first-and-goal from the Falcons’ 10-yard line and punched it in two plays later on a run by LaRod Stephens-Howling.
Things didn’t go much better on the next series as the Falcons went three-and-out and the Cardinals drove back down the field and added a 48-yard field goal to take a 10-0 lead.
