It seems like a weekly occurrence, but once again, Tony Gonzalez has padded his already impressive NFL resume.
With a 20-yard reception in the second quarter Sunday against Tampa Bay, Gonzalez went over 14,000 yards for his entire career. To put that into perspective, it’s almost eight miles in receiving yards.
The milestone makes him the eighth player and first tight end in NFL history to reach 14,000 receiving yards.
Gonzalez also became the seventh all-time leader in receiving yards Sunday, passing WR James Lofton, who racked up 14,004 in 13 seasons.
