The hopes were high once Asante Samuel was announced as one of the Falcons’ 46 active players for today’s game, but the excitement ended quickly as Samuel returned to the sideline with the same shoulder injury that has been a problem for him since the Cardinals game two weeks ago.

Samuel started the game, but went out after a few plays when he walked off the field, holding his arm and wincing in pain.

He was announced in the press box as questionable to return to the game. We’ll have more when we hear it.
