The Falcons are still in good position to clinch a first-round bye or the NFC’s No. 1 playoff seed as they stare down the final three games of the season.

Despite the 30-20 loss to Carolina last week, Atlanta can clinch the No. 1 or a guarantee of at least the No. 2 spot by beating the Giants and then getting a little help from a couple of teams.

• ATL win + GB loss or tie OR
• ATL win + SF loss OR
• ATL tie + GB loss OR

Atlanta clinches homefield advantage:

• ATL win + GB loss or tie + SF loss

Green Bay (9-4) plays at Chicago (8-5) on Sunday at 1 p.m. and San Francisco (9-3-1) is at New England (10-3) on Sunday night with an 8:20 p.m. kickoff.
