The Falcons have gone through the past two weeks needing help to lock up the NFC’s top seed heading into the playoffs. After Sunday’s 34-0 win over the Giants, the Falcons don’t need any outside help to go where they want to.

The formula is simple this week compared to the convoluted scenarios of week’s past: win.

A win over the Detroit Lions on Saturday night would lock up the No. 1 seed and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs for the Falcons.
