Head coach Mike Smith updated the condition of several Falcons during his Monday news conference, most notably saying that he expects defensive end John Abraham — who suffered an ankle injury in the regular-season finale — to practice Wednesday.

“John will be participating in practice on Wednesday,” Smith said. “We will have almost a full boat. We won’t have everybody there.”

Smith also said that safety William Moore returned to practice last week, saying that he has progressed well enough for him to return to the practice field.

Cornerback Dunta Robinson, who was in the league’s concussion protocol after the regular-season finale against Tampa Bay, was cleared to participate in practice last week.

Smith said last week that cornerback Chris Owens, who was sidelined in the final game of the regular season, wasn’t far along in the healing process.
