While your productivity likely dipped at work today with NCAA basketball tournament brackets needing to be filled out, the NFL has even more wonderfully distracting sports bracketology for you this March.
NFL.com is on a quest to determine the greatest play of all time and they’re using the popular March bracket format to get it all figured out.
The Falcons are represented three times in the opening round as — fittingly — part of the Deion Sanders bracket.
Let’s start with Sanders, whose punt return for a touchdown against the Rams in 1989 is up against Karlos Dansby’s fumble return for a touchdown during the 2010 playoffs.
Billy “White Shoes” Johnson’s Hail Mary touchdown catch from Steve Bartkowski in 1983 is up against Bill Omanski’s 68-yard touchdown run during the 1940 NFL Championship.
Finally, Michael Vick’s overtime run for a touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings during 2002 is pitted against DeSean Jackson’s walk-off punt return touchdown against the Giants in 2010.
