Last year, guard Justin Blalock teamed up with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to help support their music education efforts. During a June 14 performance, Blalock showed up to be a guest conductor, leading the Symphony and student musicians in Raiders March — the Indiana Jones theme.

Thursday night, Blalock took to the stage again for the Atlanta Symphony’s Side-by-Side concert, but this time, he was more about making music than conducting it.

Blalock picked up a tuba and played with the Symphony and students. He rehearsed with the orchestra earlier Thursday before performing later that night and signing autographs afterward.

Video of Blalock’s special night of music education awareness will be on AtlantaFalcons.com next week.
