The power rankings continue to roll in for the preseason, and we took a look at some not too long ago. There’s little question that the Falcons are a top team in the league among the experts, but the question becomes: Where do they rank?

ProFootballTalk.com is releasing its power rankings piecemeal and put the Falcons into their No. 5 spot. Here’s just some of what PFT had to say:

Defensive coordinator Mike Nolan is going to have to scheme his way past personnel problems, as they don’t have much up front to create pressure. They’re pushing all their chips to the middle of the table on Osi Umenyiora returning to his old form, because there’s no one else on the roster you could expect double-digit sacks from. Otherwise, they’re simply counting on outscoring everyone. Which remains a reasonable proposition, and the reason they have a chance to get to the Super Bowl.
