Falcons running back Steven Jackson sat down for a conversation with Sports Illustrated’s Peter King for King’s website feature called “10 Things I Think I Think.” It’s a fascinating trip inside the minds of athletes in their own words.

Jackson went over some of the reasons he ended up coming to Atlanta during free agency, and while I won’t put the entire list for you here (because you really should head over to King’s site and read the cool piece), here are a couple of things Jackson said that I found interesting:

2. I think people who think 30-year-old backs are going downhill do not know me.

3. I think leaving money on the table and choosing the Falcons in free agency over the Rams was about one thing and one thing only: wanting to win a championship. Money comes and goes. What makes me happy now, I realize, are family and friends and having the best chance to win a title. Those are things money can’t buy.

OK, that’s all you get. Go read King’s web feature here.
