The Falcons will take to Bobby Gruhn Field at City Park Stadium in Gainesville, Ga., Aug. 2 for the annual Kia Motors Friday Night Lights event, during which a scrimmage will occur.

The scoring system for the scrimmage, however, is much different than a traditional football game where touchdowns and field goals are the objective. Head coach Mike Smith has devised a system for scoring that evens the playing field for both offense and defense. If you’re coming to Friday Night Lights, here’s what the scoring system will look like during the scrimmage portion:

SCORING SYSTEM
OFFENSE

Scoring Type Points
Touchdown 6
Field Goal (Inside 25-Yard Line) 3
Two Consecutive Earned First Downs 2
Explosive Play of 20-plus Yards 1

DEFENSE

Scoring Type Points
Interception 3
Fumble Recovery 3
Forced Three-and-Out 2
Sack or Tackle For Loss 1
Stop a Drive Without Points 1
