The talk surrounding the lengthy injury report the Falcons gave Wednesday shifted from one wide receiver — Roddy White, who is nursing an ankle injury — to another — Julio Jones, who suddenly appeared with a knee injury.

Jones did not practice Wednesday, which caused concern for fans, but Thursday, the wideout was upgraded to limited participation, which is a good sign heading into Friday’s final on-field preparations for the Week 2 matchup against St. Louis.

Also upgraded were safety Thomas DeCoud (knee), DT Peria Jerry (knee) and DE Cliff Matthews (neck) as they went from limited Wednesday to full participation Thursday.

White continues to be held out of practice as he did not participate in the second practice of the week. Head coach Mike Smith said Wednesday that he’s expecting White to play Sunday against the Rams.

CB Asante Samuel was limited again Thursday.
